Thank you for all of the super programming. I love all of the different kinds of music and in depth news/community information reporting. Democracy Now is among my favorites. You are one of the few positive things in the Tampa Bay area. Keep up the great work!
thanks for a great community radio station that serves as a real voice for real people everywhere.
Dear WMNF,
I have been listening to this station since the 80's. I have heard and seen the many changes and growth spurts you've gone through, and I am just as grateful now as I was then for your very existence. My musical tastes are very widely varied and eclectic, even quirky, and WMNF is the place to be for someone like myself! What I love so much about MNF is that you honor the variety of cultural influences in our world, and they all have a place with you. In giving them a place, you give many different kinds of people a place to go, too. Corporate, commercial radio does not and cannot do that. The vast majority of radio stations out there all sound the same, basically dictating to their listeners what they think is worthwhile. Not so here at WMNF, and thank heavens for that!
I love the fact that you are now streaming live on the Internet and archiving past shows; it gives people all over the world the chance to hear you, which is all to the good! Keep on keeping on, guys; we need the different voice you provide, now and always! When the next fundraiser comes around, I'll be there!
I remember over 25 years ago when I had more money I gave you $ 25 when you came around door to door. I wish I could give more but it is a sad state of affairs that I can only give you $ 10 now. Keep up the good work.
Love this show. Reminds me of the homeland. Keep playing the best of the Enchanted Emerald Isle and her neighbors too.
Don't suck the satchel of mass media, it will kill us. Thank you for everything you do.
Your music is what inspires me!!! PLease kEEP IT GOING!!!1 LOVE IT!! this is where I hear every thing fun and new!!!! xxxoo
I have loved your station since I first found it in 2001. It's essential listening!
I would love to help support this station. I don't know why I haven't done it sooner! My boyfriend and I LOVE it.
Thank you WMNF, for the alternative to the controlling corporate American radio that's only concern is their profit margin.
You guys are the only media I listen to. I love your station. Please keep it going. I especially love the bluegrass shows, Fresh Air, the news, the morning shows....
Thank you for sharing your peaceful truth with our misinformed population. Empathy is the only cure for cruelty. The next generation must explore their world with tolerance in their hearts and understanding of all cultures and religions in their brains, so please continue the wonderful teaching job you are both doing.
Dear WMNF,
I'm writing to let you know how much I appreciate what your station provides to this area. I've been a listener to WMNF for a number of years, however, I've been a supporter for just the last two. I'm a regular listener of the Freak Show. On this show I can hear songs that can't be heard anywhere else on terrestrial radio. Ed and Vicki make their listeners feel like they are part of the show . WMNF offers something for everyone. It's a true community radio station. Thanks for all that you do.
Thank you for all the great music, news, and strong and positive community influence you have generously given for 30 years! Keep it commin'. Congradulations!
Dear wmnf
I am writing this to tell you why I gave to wmnf during this past Spring's Fund Drive. I have been listening to wmnf nearly since it began. However, until this past Spring, I never gave to wmnf. Let me tell you what changed.
About two years ago, I began some very intensive medical treatments. For much of the last two years I have had a hard time just getting out of bed. There were times when I was too weak to even watch tv. This is when wmnf took on a whole new significance for me. Even when I was too weak to watch tv, I could listen to wmnf. Wmnf became a lifeline for me to the outside world.
I listen to the news and public affairs and feel connected to my community. Politics, world affairs, and sciences feed my mind. Alan Watts and other sages bring wisdom to me that feed my soul. The arts and music bring beauty into my world and therefore also feed my soul. I am immensely grateful for all of these things!
This story has two happy endings. My health is improving and hopefully I will be finished with these treatments by the end of summer. The other good ending is I am now a wmnf listener supporter.
With immense gratitude,
