I especially liked the Mahavishu influenced opening tune... Cindy Blackman is a bitch on the drums, man, she blows hard, and this music IS what it's all about. Playing from the heart making great feelings. Tony Williams' music and career, not unlike Miles, Mclaughlin and others, cut deep into the musical universe leaving milestone scars that others can (or should try) to build upon. Now if someone can channel Hendrix as she does Tony, well, I'd like to hear that, too. I thank God everyday for these and other examples of musical wonder that bless his creation... ahh, that'd be you and me. IN the world, not OF the world... yeah.
