This Sunday night at 7 the L.A. Theatre Works series features Arthur Miller's "A View from the Bridge," adapted for radio.
In the shadow of the Brooklyn Bridge, a Greek tragedy plays out in the working-class neighborhood of Red Hook. Italian-American immigrant life in the 1950s textures this searing drama of love and revenge.
Longshoreman Eddie Carbone is devoted to his wife, Beatrice and to his niece, Catherine. When Beatrice’s impoverished Sicilian cousins enter the U.S. illegally in hope of finding work, Eddie gives them a helping hand. But when Catherine and one of the cousins fall in love, Eddie’s affection for his niece turns into obsession.
Mary McDonnell, Harry Hamlin and Ed O'Neill star in Arthur Miller's classic drama. From 7-9 p.m. this Sunday, March 7 on The Source - 88.5 HD3 on a digital radio, or online at wmnf.org/thesource.
