New Ways of Recycling Plastic Bags

The Florida Recycling Partnership has a new plastic shopping bag recycling campaign called "Gimme a Second Chance." Local Florida filmmakers have produced some very creative and fun one-minute videos, showing new ways to use plastic bags.

Every Publix store has green bins to recycle plastic bags. Local and convenient. Use them. The best idea is to avoid getting/using plastic bags by having your own reusable bags that you actually take with you when you go shopping. Half the battle is to figure a system to get the bags back into the car after a shopping trip!
