Sarasota County libraries and AARP offer free tax return assistance

Sarasota County libraries and the American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) are offering free assistance with the preparation of 2013 tax returns through April 15. AARP Tax-Aide volunteers are available to assist with filing federal returns at the following locations:

Elsie Quirk Library, 100 W. Dearborn St., Englewood - Monday 1 - 4:30 p.m., Wednesday and Friday 10 a.m. - noon and Saturday 1 - 4:30 p.m.

Fruitville Library, 100 Coburn Rd, Sarasota; Monday - Thursday, 10 a.m. - 1 p.m.

Jacaranda Library, 4143 Woodmere Park Blvd., Venice; Monday, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m., and Wednesday, 10 a.m. - 4 p.m.

Selby Library, 1331 First St., Sarasota; Monday - Thursday, 2 - 6 p.m., and Saturday, 11 a.m. - 3 p.m.
