Support WMNF and Aquire this Joseph Arthur Original Painting
mark about 2 months ago
Joseph Arthur is not just a Grammy nominated singer songwriter with an impressive catalog of songs on more than ten albums. He has also received acclaim as a poet, painter and designer. His artwork has graced the sleeves of his entire discography. He staged his first art exhibition in 2006 at the Vertigo Gallery in London and released a 110-page book entitled We Almost Made It, a visual collection of his artworks, along with an accompanying instrumental CD titled The Invisible Parade in May 2006. He set up his personal art gallery The Museum of Modern Arthur in June 2007 as a brick and mortar location in Brooklyn's DUMBO district which has now morphed into an online gallery.
During concerts in recent years Joseph Arthur has painted canvases which have become highly sought after works of art. At WMNF Community Radio's Tropical Heatwave festival on May 10, Joseph Arthur painted this 48 x 60 canvas while singing "I Miss the Zoo".
Now WMNF would like to find a home for this amazing piece of art and you can help support your community radio station in the process. Please call us at 813-238-8001 if you are interested in purchasing this painting. We think $2500 is a reasonable price for it.
If you are outside of the Tampa Bay Area, shipping for this large format painting will be expensive. It is too large for regular UPS shipping and will need to ship UPS Freight. UPS estimates total cost to ship to California would be $575, shipping to Miami would be $340. We can ship to the continental US only. We would charge the purchaser the actual cost of shipping the painting. Of course, there is no shipping cost to pick it up here at the station!
All proceeds go towards keeping WMNF 88.5 FM Community Radio on the air!comments powered by Disqus
