The 2012 Tour de Clay Was Quite a Trip!

We are so grateful to our Community Partners, in particular hard-working artists who give so much of themselves to support the station. I am happy to report the annual Tour de Clay was a success! Here's the report from the artist who headed it all up, Jack Boyle:
The Florida West Coast Ceramic Society, aka members of the Tour de Clay, wish to extend their gratitude and best wishes to WMNF. Our favorite community sponsored radio station.
We would also like to thank the incredible support from the patrons in the Tampa Bay area. The 2012 Tour de Clay was the most well attended in the 5 year history of the event. This was due, in large part, to the radio sponsorship of WMNF. The stationâs support was amazing.
âWMNF day at the Tour de Clayâ was the culmination of the year long support from the station in the success in publicizing our event ie., email notifications, on air promotion and an interview with JoEllen Schilkeâs Art in your Ear all helped to keep the public informed. Having Gr8ful Ed Greene from The Freak Show DJing at the San Antonio Potteryâs Open House party on Saturday evening was the icing on the cake!
We are happy and honored too be able to contribute $1220 to the radio station through artwork raffled at each of the 5 studio venueâs.
Happy New Year to all! We look forward to combining efforts in 2013!
A special thanks to Laura Taylor, Nancy Johnson, JoEllen Schilke , Ed Greene and all the volunteers that helped at each pottery venue for their efforts.
