WMNF is honoring Vicki Santa, our longtime and late station manager, who was the main force behind our new radio station building.

We are naming our main air-studio in her memory. On July 21st, WMNF will dedicate the Vicki Santa Memorial Studio beginning at 6pm with a live studio performance from Sonia of the group Disappear Fear. Mary Glenney of the Women's Show will emcee the concert. Sonia will also appear with Amy Snider on Sonic Detour between 4 and 6 pm. From 7 to 9pm, Ed Greene and the Freak Show will feature the naming ceremony and dedicate the entire program to Vicki.

Those who want to see Sonia will be seated on a first-come basis. The whole community is invited to our station for a potluck from 6 to 9pm. More at 813-238-8001.

Thank You

Thank you all for this honor. Vicki would be so proud. Everyone that knew Vicki knows how proud she was of the station, the WMNF family, the audience & community and the building. She'll be there in spirit.

A wonderful gesture

This is a wonderful thing to do. It's rare to see this kind of dedication to anything. The few times I had the chance to speak with her, Vicki was very enthusiastic and genuine. I still miss hearing her voice on the Freak Show and fundraisers.

What a wonderful night, The Freak Show , Sonia, friends, and a rainbow. All to remember our dearest friend, programmer and former station manager, Vicki Santa. Truly peace, love and WMNF's Vicki Santa Studio. ..

To Vicki

Vicki no doubt changed the face of community radio, not only in Tampa, but also in the country. Tuesday's events were a fine tribute to Vicki. I'm sure she would have given us an "aw, shucks..." at the studio dedication...but Vicki deserves it, and more!
