32nd Annual Steak Dinner: Opening Doors to Great Futures
<abbr class="dtstart" title="2013-11-19">Tuesday, November 19</abbr>
Reception at 6:00 PM and Dinner at 7:00 PM
The Annual Steak Dinner is a tradition celebrated in Boys & Girls Clubs across the nation. Originated in Memphis and dubbed the “Steak & Burger Dinnerâ€, this event came with a twist. While Club Members dined on steaks, adults feasted on hamburgers. Since it’s inception over 40 years ago, the event has evolved nationwide to include Annual Steak & Steak Dinners and, in Tampa, the Annual Steak Dinner. This event, sponsored by Outback Steakhouse, is a chance for every guest, including donors, community partners and volunteers, to meet with the direct beneficiaries of their loyal efforts - our Club Members. Youth sit at every table and are given the chance to share their story of how Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay has had a positive impact on their lives and what the Club means to them. The Annual Steak Dinner attracts over 450 guests every year and is Boys & Girls Clubs of Tampa Bay’s second largest fundraiser.
