Saturday, May 10 2008 -- National Train Day at Tampa Union Station

Celebrate the past and promote the future of passenger railways by joining in National Train Day festivities at Tampa Union Station. Displays from Amtrak, Suncoast Model Railroad Club, Florida Operation Lifesaver, the Atlantic Coast Line & Seaboard Air-Line Railroads Historical Society show you the proud history of America's transit rail system and state of the art ideas for future transportation. The event runs from 1 PM to 5:30 PM at 601 North Nebraska Avenue, between Downtown and Ybor City. National Train Day in Tampa is jointly sponsored by the nonprofit Florida Coalition of Rail Passengers, the National Association of Railroad Passengers, and Amtrak.
