We are excited to present the legendary Zimbabwean musician Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi and the Black Spirits! Tuku is one of the most successful African recordings artists in the world. The Zimbabwean guitarist, vocalist and composer is also a humanitarian and leader, honored as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador for Eastern and Southern Africa, focusing on youth development and HIV and AIDS Prevention. His concerts exhibit a rare combination of utter joy and deeply rooted humanity. He must be one of the few people to have a beat named after him:’tuku’!
Special WMNF connection: he plays the theme song you may recognize from Rob Lorei's RadioActivity program...
