Dan Hicks serves up his unique attitude and swagger that are embodied in his outlaw eccentricity and totally original sound to the holidays with his latest release Crazy for Christmas. It was only a matter of time before Dan gave the holiday season his own bag of goods. It features original Dan Hicks Christmas tunes, some classic favorites, and a few tunes re-worked for Christmas.

Revered by and also having recently collaborated with such legendary artists as Tom Waits, Elvis Costello, Bette Midler, Brian Setzer, Willie Nelson and Jimmy Buffet, among others, Dan Hicks' counter-culture appeal, which has twice landed him of the cover of Rolling Stone, has always been rooted in his songwriting. His lyrics have been touted as some of the sharpest-tongued, driest-witted, and subtly hilarious bit of irreverence ever committed to rhyme. He sets these lyrical gems to quirky tunes that trade on a bagful of jazz chords and an irresistible rhythm. This music gets under your skin, and the lyrics are set loose upon your unsuspecting brain. St. Nick is in for one hell of a good time.

“So few truly original figures exist in pop music that Dan Hicks should be a national treasure.”—San Francisco Chronicle

“Dan Hicks is fly, sly, wily and dry!”—Tom Waits

“The eternal hipster, purveyor of the drollest and most swingin’ tunes the rock generation ever enjoyed.”—Minneapolis Star Tribune
