Barons of Tang ran into visa problems and cannot be here for Heatwave weekend- but the exciting news is The Carolina Chocolate Drops are now playing the Tropical Heatwave Warm Up Party. Two chances to see this incredibly entertaining live band.

The Tropical Heatwave Warm-Up Party is three exciting and eclectic bands to get the heat going on Heatwave weekend - and an opportunity to see three great bands' full sets without all the competing entertainment tomorrow night.

The Carolina Chocolate Drops The Carolina Chocolate Drops, young musicians playing African American string band music, are upstarts in a stable of deep tradition, and also the link between past and future. They are constantly expanding their repertoire, taking advantage of what founder Dom Flemons calls “the novelty factor” to get folks in the door and then teaching and thrilling them with traditional music that was evolving as they performed.

**Caravan of Thieves** - Stretching the parameters of acoustic swing, Caravan of Thieves has been winning immediate praise for their new and unique brand of gypsy flavored song writing and their high intensity show

Bachaco- Bachaco's music is a world-class fusion of reggae, dancehall and cumbia with styles like ska and hip-hop. The mix of lyrics in English, Spanish and Jamaican Patwa is simply the result of members coming from the US, Venezuela, Jamaica, Colombia and Puerto Rico. Bachaco is a true multi-cultural experience.
