Ana Popovic, the Serbian-born blues guitar slinger and singer, was the most talked about performer at Tropical Heatwave. The four-time Blues Music Awards nominee blends smoking electric funk slide guitar, jazzy instrumentals and tight blues groove with soulful feminine vocals. Her incredible stage presence makes her an irresistible force in the music world. Born in the war torn town of Belgrade, formerly Yugoslavia. Ana grew up in a warm and loving family where music was very important. Her father would, throughout her youth, always invite friends over for nightly jam sessions where Ana listened and analyzed the deep artistic roots of her music. In this atmosphere, she quickly picked up her fatherâs impressive blues and soul record collection, grabbed his guitar and went to work at a young age of 15. Since then, Ana Popovic has developed into an phenomenal guitarist/vocalist who currently resides in Amsterdam.

Also in 2012, Shamarr was featured on the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festivalsâ Congo Square poster. In 2013, the band was honored to be invited to perform at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, the national center for the performing arts in Washington, DC. Shamarr claims one of his favorite moments as being the first trumpet player to play the National Anthem for President Barack Obama. His new album, 504-799-8147, showcases immense musical diversity. Combining elements of hip hop, rock, soul, and pop it delivers a powerful wallop of fun, good music, blends of his original sound.
Betty Fox Band With an extensive background in gospel and a lifelong passion for soul music, Betty Fox has burst onto the Florida music scene in a whirlwind of controlled yet unabashed passion and has taken the hearts of anyone wise enough to lend her their ear. Betty Fox appreciated singing early in life and performed for the first time at a church play at the age of 4. Her family had a deep love for southern country gospel and tight harmonies which they would express at every family gathering, and that is where her obsession with music began.
