MidPoint for Thursday, Feb.18 Florida Legislature takes on immigration

Share

The Florida Legislature unveiled a series of measures to begin the 2016 regular session that angered immigration activists.

Joining us to talk about those issues were Francesca Menes with the Florida Immigration Coalition, and Mark R. Schlakman, who serves as senior program director for The Florida State University Center for the Advancement of Human Rights. He specifically spoke to HB 1095, Jacksonville Republican Lake Ray’s bill that would attempt to have state agencies ban refugees from war-torn countries into Florida.
