AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL REPORTS THAT HUNDREDS OF INNOCENT PEOPLE MAY HAVE BEEN SOLD TO THE U.S. AS "TERRORISTS"10/10/06
Pakistan illegally detained innocent people on suspicion of terrorism, secretly imprisoned them, and transferred them to U.S. custody for money, human rights watchdog Amnesty International said Friday (September 29, 2006). President Gen. Pervez Musharraf, in a memoir released days ago, wrote that his government has earned bounties totaling "millions of dollars" from the transfer of terror suspects to U.S. authorities. In 2004 the Bush administration pledged 1.5 billion dollars over five years to promote marriage as a means to help the poor out of poverty. The Healthy Marriage Initiative is funded by welfare money, and ten Florida programs have received pieces of that pie to educate people on how to be good spouses. In its cover story out today, Newsweek Magazine writes Ã¢â¬âthat Ã¢â¬â according to 2 congressional sources, back in either 2002 or 2003, an allegedly inebriated Foley showed up at the Congressional Pages dorm after a 10PM curfew and tried to gain entry.
