The Bay County Sheriff's Office Boot Camp documents obtained by
The Associated Press show that the boot camp guards videotaped kneeing and punching a teen who later died had consistently used the same techniques on other youths.
The documents show the guards were involved in at least 63 other instances. They used knee strikes, hammer-fist blows, painful pressure point restraints and other physical encounters with detainees.

A former child soldier from Sierra Leone is kicking off a nationwide speaking tour in St Petersburg this week. This morning, Chernoh Alpha M Bah held a press conference in South St Petersburg, to call attention to the deadly effect the diamond industry has had on his home country.

The Pinellas county commission voted to create an affordable housing trust fund this morning, but not without objections from dozens of citizens who say the ordinance as passed does not go far enough. The trust fund would be available to government agencies or developers who are building affordable housing, or making renovations to save affordable housing. Although official results of a 2nd autopsy taken yesterday on Martin Lee Anderson may not be available for weeks, the parents of the 14 year old youth who died after being beaten by Panama City Boot Camp Guards say they are now satisfied that their son did NOT die of natural causes.
They commented this morning, after the Hillsborough County Medical Examiner conducted the 2nd autopsy, which took over 12 hours.
