Tampa water rates to go up

Tampa citizens will soon have to pay more for water bills come in the mail. That word came down today from the City’s Water Department Director, Brad Baird, who said the drought like conditions are requiring the City to purchase more water from Tampa Bay Water than was originally budgeted for. A year ago the City of Tampa received the results of A disparity study that concluded that a disproportionate amount of major city contracts went to white male-owned businesses. However , it said that the City was doing fine in making sure that minority and women owned businesses were getting a piece of Sub-contracts.
