A Hillsborough County transportation board today voted to rescind a previous vote on banning neighborhood electric vehicles, or NEVs inside the city of Tampa .

The vote by the Public Transportation Commission (PTC) came after nearly two hours of sometimes tortuous discussion.

She's a member of a committee that is debating health care reform. She is also trying to encourage commercial flights from Tampa to Havana.

The nonprofit Pew Charitable Trusts were formed by the heirs of the Sun Oil Company in 1948. The goal of the Pew Trusts is to improve public policy, inform the public, and stimulate civic life through analytic research. The trusts formed the Pew Research Council in 2004 and this group sponsored a town hall type forum, at the USF campus yesterday to discuss the intersection of 3 issues, National Security, Energy Policy, and Climate Change. Referendum funding may not include widening Lithia -Pinecrest Road listen

Today two citizens came before the Hillsborough County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO), urging them not to include a plan to widen two-lane Lithia-Pinecrest Road to six lanes from State Road 60 to Country Road 39 in a possible referendum that would go before Hillsborough County voters next year.

The Hillsborough County Transporation Task Force has publicly said that if a 1 cent sales referendum is approved by voters next year, 25% of those proceeds will go to road projects.

In James E. McWilliams new book, Just Food, he writes that in order to build a truly sustainable agricultural system people in this country must start treating beef as a delicacy, to be consumed as rarely as caviar.
