Police used pepper spray on a crown of black residents of South St Petersburg last night, in what black residents say is an escalation of police use of force during a time when things are already tense. But police say a brick was thrown through a police car window before the pepper spray was brought out, and say that a group of people was inciting the crowd of 200 people to violence against the police.
