Custodian

Part time, non-exempt

SUPERVISOR - Operations

WORK HOURS: 25 hrs per week. Must be flexible

SUMMARY

Maintenance person performs a number of tasks including cleaning and maintaining the building and facilities. The person should be able to make basic repairs. Listed below are the responsibilities of the job. Other responsibilities may be assigned as needed.

• Perform housekeeping duties and basic equipment maintenance. These duties include but are not limited to Mopping, cleaning bathrooms, changing light bulbs, dusting, change filters, cleaning the break room including filling the soda machine, cleaning the lobby area, wash or wipe all window sills and glass doors and windows on a schedule and various areas as needed.
• Main studio’s must be cleaned daily at specific times.
• Monthly complete cleanings
• Occasional pruning of plants.
• Ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.
• Report problems to supervisor.
• Make local pick-ups and deliveries as required. This includes buying trips to vendors.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills
• Must be capable of working in an environment in which demands and priorities change rapidly.
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs
• Must be self-motivated, aware of surroundings and detail oriented.
• Must have a working vehicle, valid drivers license and minimum amount of vehicle insurance required by the state.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

• High school diploma or GED.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

• Ability to manage money including making decisions based on value and cost.
• Ability to prioritize and solve practical problems and deal with a variety of situations.

WORK ENVIORNMENT

• While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; climb, and use hands to handle, finger or feel objects, tools, or controls.
• Occasionally the employee must kneel, or crouch and exert themselves or lift heavy objects up to 40 lbs.
• Noise levels on occasion can be more than moderate.
• Heat levels on occasion can be more than moderate.
• Some chemicals are used in this environment. Required safety items are provided and must be worn by the employee when performing his/her duties. It is preferred that environmentally friendly products be used whenever possible.
