FIRING OF USF'S DR. SAMI AL-ARIAN

The Impending Firing of USF Professor Dr. Sami Al-Arian. Tom Gonzalez, an attorney who represents management in labor disputes discussed his recommendations to USF President Judi Genshaft that there were grounds on which to fire Al-Arian, a professor of computer science. Al-Arian is embroiled in a controversy because his appearance on the FOX TV show THE O'REILLY FACTOR caused death threats to be phoned into the University of South Florida in September of 2001.
