MAYOR CORBINO EXPANSION PLANS FOR ST PETE CLEARWATER AIRPORT-Andrew Stelzer
As we reported earlier this week, the St Pete County commission voted to move forward with a master plan to invest over 220 million dollars for improvements to the St Pete Clearwater airport, despite the complaints of many citizens that they didnââ¬â¢t want the increased noise of more airplanes, and the environmental damage that expanding the airport could have. There was also a consultants report which warned the commission that air traffic is likely to decrease next year, and in the past months, tone airline has gone bankrupt, and another has closed up shop altogether. One of the most vocal critics of expanding the airport is Safety Harbor mayor Pam Corbino
WMNF asked to Michelle Rowse, a spokeswoman for the Pinellas Clearwater airport, to respond to Corbino's complaints.
That was Michelle Rowse, a spokeswoman for the Pinellas Clearwater airport. The county commission will be taking a final vote on the airport master plan on December 21st.comments powered by Disqus
