Yesterday the president announced his plans to address the rash of dishonest financial reports filed by large corporations. In this segment we heard President Bush announce his proposal (via a report by Free Speech Radio News reporter Jeff Brady) and Charlie Cray, Director of The Campaign For Corporate Reform for the group CitizenWorks in Washington, DC. Cray says the president should have gone even farther if he wants to restore the public's faith in corporation's balance sheets. Cray says such things as offshore tax havens, expensing options on accounting reports and perhaps even a special prosecutor should be considered in the current scandals.
