THE NEW FREEDOM BUS TOUR11/26/02
A multi-racial group of activists is holding a series of actions in St. Petersburg today, seeking people who are homeless, trapped in low-paying jobs and living in substandard housing. The groups (the Kensington Welfare Rights Union, the Tampa Bay Action Group, and the Coalition of Immokalee Farmworkers) say that the UN's Universal Declaration of Human Rights calls for all people to have the basics of living. The bus tour is a way of highlighting the fact that many Americans do not have access to basic economic human rights. Guest: Gaylen Tyrer of the KWRU.
