THE TRIALS OF HENRY KISSINGER

01/02/03

The new film THE TRIALS OF HENRY KISSINGER will soon premier in Sarasota. Our guest in this segment was the film's director, Eugene Jarecki. The film poses the question: is Henry Kissinger, Nobel Laureate and the most famous diplomat of his generation, also a war criminal? Kissinger has been accused of participating in the coup that toppled Chilean President Salvador Allende, of helping Richard Nixon sabatoge the Vietnam peace talks in Paris just prior to the 1968 presidential election, of engineering the secret bombing of Cambodia, and approving Indonesia's use of U.S. weapons in the massacre of 100,000 people in East Timor.
