Marable is a professor of political science at Columbia University and the author of THE GREAT WELLS OF DEMOCRACY. In this new book he talks about the future of the civil rights movement. He says the new era will be led by more women, low-income and grassroots-based groups. The professor says that structural racism is still a problem for people of color in the U.S. and the movement to fight this will be prominent in the next 25 years.
