The long simmering feud between Hillsborough County Commissioners Kathy Castor and Ronda Storms reached new highs – or lows, yesterday at the conclusion of a Environmental Protection Commission meeting.

The angry exchange of words between the 2 came after the County Commission – yet again – discussed again why the County Mayor concept would be bad for County Government.

The proposal to have an elected County Mayor has not yet officially made it onto the ballot, but a majority of County Commissioners at nearly every public meeting have taken the opportunity to bash the concept.

Yesterday it was argued that placing 1 person in charge of the EPC could lead to the end of the environmental body.

The comments by Storms that Castor – when she was a land use attorney once tried to get to her change her vote - has been voiced previously - and Castor has never publicly responded.

But not yesterday..Here’s Castor, Commissioner Tom Scott, and Ronda Storms (roll tape#1 o.q.Little to none….)

That was Kathy Castor saying, “Little To None, in response to Ronda Storms saying she might not have any dignity, but she does have integrity.

Both Commissioners are engaged in campaigns for higher offices…Castor is running – and right now – leading – in the race to succeed Congressman Jim Davis in the Democratic Primary…Storms is running for State Senate.
