A TRILLION DOLLARS IS MISSING FROM THE PENTAGON05/21/03

In the case of the Army, 56 airplanes, 32 tanks and 36 Javelin missile command launch units are lost. Eric Miller is Senior Defense Investigator for the Project On Government Oversight in Washington, DC. His organization tries to reduce the waste of tax money by publicizing the misuse of government funds. He says the Pentagon does a poor job of controlling its material and finances and Congress does not seem to be inclined to crack down on the problem.
