Tampa Jewish Federation places ad in Tampa Tribune supporting Israel by Mitch E. Perry07/31/06
Today the Tampa Jewish Federation showed their support for the people of Israel by purchasing a full page ad in the Tampa Tribune.
The ad, which features a picture of the Israeli flag with the words, “help, give, hope, begins by saying that the Federation, along with the entire North American Jewish Community, stands with the people of Israel as they fight terrorism and attacks.
Daniel Staffenberg is the Chief Development Officer for the Tampa Jewish Federation. (roll tape#1 o.q.many many jews)
The airstrike by Israeli Defense Forces in the Lebanese town of Qana that killed 56 civilians on Sunday – the deadliest bombing in the 20 day conflict, has led to international criticism of Israel. Ivo Daalder, a national security advisor for Bill Clinton, said that the incident has imperiled Israel’s claim to the moral high ground.
Daniel Staffenberg of the Tampa Jewish Federation said he abhors the attacks on innocent civilians on both sides of the conflict, but says that the problem is that Hezbollah does its dirty work within civilian locations (roll tape#2 o.q.live in peace with its neighbors)
That’s Daniel Staffenberg, Chief Development Officer for the Tampa Jewish Federation. The group today took out an ad in today’s Tampa Tribune asking for financial support for the people of Israel.
