Anti-Nudity Ordinance preview at BOCC by Mitch E. Perry
Tomorrow afternoon at the Hillsborough County Commission meeting, Commissioners will discuss a proposed Anti-Nudity Ordinance which Commissioners have already preliminarily approved to be on the November ballot.
The proposed ballot question will ask County voters whether nudity should be banned from adult businesses in the county.
Tampa First Amendment Attorney Luke Lirot has been successful over the years in defending strip clubs against such laws in Hillsborough County and the City of Tampa.
Lirot has frequently defended Mons Venus owner Joe Redner in many of those cases.
Last month, at a campaign event for Lirot in Tampa, WMNF spoke with the lawyer about the proposed ordinance. Lirot plans on attending tomorrowââ¬â¢s hearing to argue against it (roll tape#1 o.q.ââ¬? that sheââ¬â¢s takenââ¬?)
