New Voting Rules in Florida by Mitch E. Perry
With voting beginning today in Florida, there are now new laws in place when you go to the polls.
Perhaps the most important law, voted on by the Republican led legislature last year, requires voters to have photo and signature Identification.
If a voter does NOT have a drivers license or signature identification, you will have to fill out a provisional ballot .

Florida Democratic Party Chairwoman Karen Thurman issued a memo to all county Democratic Executive Committees and affiliated clubs to make them aware of these new rules. In a flier distributed by the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections office, a line at the bottom of the page says ââ¬ÅPhoto and Signature ID Recommendedââ¬? ââ¬â but in fact, according to the new law, itââ¬â¢s required if one wants to actually record a vote at the pollsââ¬Â¦
Also, there is concern about a ââ¬Åsignature Idââ¬?ââ¬Â¦..Again, Florida Democratic spokesman Mark Bubriski (roll tape#2o .q.just get tossedââ¬?)
We will have more on these New Rules, later on this week on the Evening Newscomments powered by Disqus
