2 new polls on crist-gallagher, Davis-Smith matchups by Mitch E. Perry

2 New Polls shows Charlie Crist and Jim Davis continuing to maintain their front runner status in their respective Party Primaries, with less than a week to go before election day.

A Strategic Vision poll released this morning shows on the GOP side, Charlie Crist up by 16 points….But another poll, done by Quinnipiac University shows Crist with a seemingly impenetrable 25 point lead over top challenger Tom Gallagher.

On the Democratic side, State Senator Rod Smith is creeping closer to Tampa area Congressman Jim Davis, but the question is will he rally in time to catch Davis?

A Strategic Visions poll has Davis up 6 points over Smith, 43 to 37 percent.
While Quinnipiac has Davis up by 11 points, 43 to 32 percent.

But again, a large amount of Democrats polled say they still haven’t decided to vote for. Quinnipiac University Pollster Peter Brown (roll tape#2 o.q.)

One of the more interesting parts of the Democratic race for Governor has been that so many Democrats have been undecided….Both polls show at least 20% of registered Democrats don’t know who to vote for, with just 6 days before the election.

Strategic Visions also took a poll of the Republican Senate Race…Katherine Harris still leads that race with 38% of the race….Attorney William McBride is in 2nd place with 19%….Admiral Leroy Collins Jr. comes in a close 3rd with 19%, and developer Peter Monroe brings up the rear with 5%…17% are undecided.
