DID THE BUSH ADMINISTRATION MISUSE INTELLIGENCE DATA PRIOR TO THE INVASION OF IRAQ?
Ray McGovern was a CIA analyst from 1964 to 1990; in that capacity he took part in President Reaganââ¬â¢s daily briefing from 1981 to 1985. In this interview with WMNF, McGovern discussed the unusual events leading up the Iraq war. These include Vice President Cheneyââ¬â¢s unprecedented visit to CIA headquarters to discuss intelligence about Iraqââ¬â¢s supposed weapons of mass destruction. McGovern says such a visit is extremely rare and appeared to be a form of intimidation. He also said that top officials in the White House knew that false statements were included in the Presidentââ¬â¢s State Of The Union Address.comments powered by Disqus
