THE GLOBAL WATER CRISIS09/20/06
The growing global water crisis threatens the security, stability and environmental sustainability of developing nations. Millions of people die each year from water-borne diseases, while water pollution and eco-destruction grows, particularly in the developing world. Our guests (Carlos Fernandez-Jauregui, Deputy Co-ordinator of the UN's World Water program and Daniel Yeh, Assistant Professor of Engineering at USF/Tampa) discussed the problem and some approaches to solving the crisis. There will be a panel discussion at USF in Tampa on September 21st at the University Lecture Hall at 7:30PM.
