Tyler Drumheller - Former CIA Agent - goes off on Porter Goss by Mitch E. Perry

Last Friday morning WMNF was able to speak at length to Tyler Drumheller, the former CIA Chief for Covert Operations in Central Europe, about his new book
On the Brink: An Insider's Account of How the White House Compromised American Intelligence

In tonight’s excerpt, Drumheller , who quit the CIA in disgust last year, bothered by what he said was the Bush Administration’s manipulation of intelligence to push for the war in Iraq – discusses Porter Goss, President Bush’s choice to replace George Tenet at the CIA in 2005.

Goss, a former CIA agent and longtime Republican Congressman from Longboat Key, immediately alienated many people at the CIA, with critics saying he was there to politicize the office. WMNF asked Tyler Drumeller about Goss, who oddly only led the CIA for just over a year, before stepping down last year (roll tape#1 o.q.and I’m going to use this)

That’s Tyler Drumheller, a 26 year veteran of the CIA who quit last year. He’s the author of the new book, “On the Brink: An Insider’s Account of How the White House Compromised American Intelligence. We’ll hear more from him tomorrow night.
