Dennis Kucinich wants to cut funding for the troops by Mitch E. Perry12/18/06
Last week Ohio Congressman Dennis Kucinich became only the 2nd Democrat to officially announce his candidacy for the 2008 Presidential nomination.
Kucinich also ran in 2004, gathering few delegates but attractive fervent response from anti-war Democrats.
With the Democrats taking control of Congress next month, Kucinich has been one of the most vocal representatives in discussing the possibility of bringing U.S. troops home by cutting off funding to them – a controversial move in some quarters that is NOT embraced by all Democrats, who also talk about ending the war soon.
This morning, Kucinich was a guest on the American AM show on WWPR-AM 1490 based out of Bradenton. This WMNF reporter was invited on that program to ask Congressman Kucinich some questions. We began by asking him: how hard was he prepared to work to get more Democrats to join him in trying to cut off funding to the Iraq war ? (roll tape#1 o.q.which Israel feels)
That’s Ohio Democratic Congressman Dennis Kucinich, speaking this morning on Bradenton radio station WWPR-AM 1490. To hear more of that interview, you can go to the web at americanam.podomatic.com
