Photojournalist Mark Edward Harris, was granted a rare visa to travel inside North Korea…He’s just published a compilation of photos called Inside North Korea (Chroniclebooks.com)…Bruce Cummings is a professor of History at the University of Chicago, he’s written several books on North Korea and has written the introduction to INSIDE NORTH KOREA….  Award-winning photographer Mark Edward Harris has traveled and photographed in more than 70 countries. He lives in Los Angeles. He is the author of several books, including Faces of the Twentieth Century: Master Photographers and Their Works. His photographs have appeared in Life, GEO, Stern, Playboy, American Photo, B & W, Condé Nast Traveler, the New York Times, Times of London, Los Angeles Times Magazine and other publications. 

Bruce CUMINGS is the author of North Korea: Another Country and Korea’s Place in the Sun; editor of the Origins of the Korean War (Newpress.com), and professor of history at the University of Chicago.

Harris and Cumings were guests today on Radioactivity to discuss life in North Korea, the history and whether it poses a threat to U.S. or its neighbors.
