Many WMNF listeners are familiar with the story of Maher Arar, a Syrian born Canadian Citizen.  On the  afternoon of September  26th, Arar was on his way home to Ottawa, Canada after a family vacation, when he deplaned at New York's JFK Airport -- and walked into a nightmarish history.Author Robert Rapley calls it a witch hunt.  And he includes it in one of his chapters from his new book, “Witch Hunts:From Salem To Guatanamo Bay”, written by Canadian Robert Rapley.  WMNF spoke with Robert Rapley late last month.  (roll tape#1 o.q.”and that’s part of a witch hunt”)
That’s author Robert Rapley. He’s the author of the new book, “Witch Hunts:  From Sale to Guatanamo Bay”.  He spoke to us his from his home in Ottawa, Canada.
