Brian Clements (author LIVING FOOD FOR OPTIMUM HEALTH) used to be overweight, and a heavy smoker of both cigarettes and marijuana. In the last 30 years he's reformed - lost weight and given up smoking altogether. Now he's the co-director of the Hippocrates Institute in West Palm Beach which advocates a healthy lifestyle as a way to build the immune system. The organization uses a raw food, organic diet, psychology, herbs, exercise and supplements as a way to boost the body's natural disease-fighting mechanisms.
