WMNF Drive-Time News Friday | Listen to this entire show:
As Michael Moore’s film on Health care in America, “Sicko” opens tonight in Tampa and across the country, health care has never been a bigger issue.
Earlier this week we heard from Jonathan Cohn, who has written the book ,”Sick”- about how U.S.’ health care system has failed American citizens.
Now, a different perspective…Michael Cannon is the director of Health Care Studies at the Cato Institute…He co wrote the book, “Healthy Competition” with Michael Tanner.
The book argues that a healthy medical marketplace, grown from less government regulation, would open up the choices Americans have in health care options.
And by paying less taxes to the government, Americans would be able to afford those choices. WMNF’s Arielle Stevenson spoke with Michael Cannon about his book, “Healthy Competition”.
