As lawmakers continue to debate various proposals regarding Iraq in the U.S. Senate, Tampa area Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Castor today co-sponsored a bill in the House that would require U.S. troops begin coming home from Iraq within 120 days of passage, and to reduce the number of forces to a limited presence by April.
WMNF asked Congreswoman Castor today if her bill is the House version of the Senate bill being sponsored by Rhode Islandâ€™s Jack Reed and Michiganâ€™s Carl Levin, that also calls for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops beginning in four months.
Castor co-sponsored the bill along with House Armed Services Chairman Ike Skelton of Missouri.
