As lawmakers continue to debate various proposals regarding Iraq in the U.S. Senate, Tampa area Democratic Congresswoman Kathy Castor today co-sponsored a bill in the House that would require U.S. troops begin coming home from Iraq within 120 days of passage, and to reduce the number of forces to a limited presence by April.
WMNF asked Congreswoman Castor today if her bill is the House version of the Senate bill being sponsored by Rhode Island’s Jack Reed and Michigan’s Carl Levin, that also calls for a phased withdrawal of U.S. troops beginning in four months.
Castor co-sponsored the bill along with House Armed Services Chairman Ike Skelton of Missouri.
