County Commissioners object to budget cuts listen07/25/07 Mitch E. Perry
WMNF Drive-Time News Wednesday | Listen to this entire show:
48 hours after Hillsborough County Administrator Pat Bean crafted a reduced budget that cuts $56 million dollars and and 480 positions, County Commissioners had their first chance to make objections to those cuts today.
The new proposed cuts could possibly kill the Education Channel outright, and put the Tampa Bay Community Network on life support. Commissioner Mark Sharpe suggested using some of the programming on those channels on the Government channel.
The Board meets again tomorrow (Thursday) at 1:30 PM to go over their flagged budget items.
