William Cope Moyers is the son of legendary journalist Bill Moyers. He’s also the author of an intense memoir about his life as a crack addict and his recovery entitled, Broken: My story of Addiction and redemption. It was just published in paperback.
WMNF spoke with William Moyers this morning from his office at the Hazelden Foundation, the alcohol and drug treatment center in Minnesota, where he works as the vice president for external affairs.
Moyers, who’s been clean and sober for 12 years, was fortunate in that he had the support of friends and family, including his dad.
