Tonight the Tampa office of the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Greater Tampa Chapter of the ACLU will hold a civil rights forum titled ”Balancing Security & Liberty.”
The free public event will feature national experts who will discuss issues surrounding torture, kidnapping, domestic spying, secret detentions and the U.S. Patriot Act.
Our guests for this segment are Ben Wizner, ACLU National staff attorney, and Danette Mask, staff attorney & director CAIR Orlando.
This program focuses on the issues of tonight's forum including habeas corpus, extraordinary rendition, torture, domestic surveillance and conditions at Guantanamo.
