Radioactivity: Live Call-In (Wednesday) | Listen to this entire show:
Coming up today, we'll meet a soldier from the bay area who was stationed in Iraq but became a contientous objector.
We'll also meet a journalist who spent time in Iraq and is working on a website which focuuses on the difficult conditions facing some U.S. military members as they return from Iraq.
Our guest is Aidan Delgado; he was a student at New College of Florida in Sarasota when his Army Reserve unit was activated and sent to Iraq in 2003.
He has written a book about his experience in the war and how he decided to become a conscientious objector, or CO. The book is called The Sutras of Abu Ghraib – Notes from a Conscientious Objector in Iraq and has just been released in bookstores.
Delgado will be speaking at Inkwood Books at 7 p.m. tonight.
Also with us via telephone is Aaron Glantz, who spent time in Iraq reporting on the U.S. invasion. Glantz also reports for Free Speech Radio News and he is affiliated with a new website called warcomeshome.org.
