Our guests today were Vietnam combat veterans, Dave Cline and Fredy Champagne. Dave won a Purple Heart for wounds he received in combat. Fredy was born in Tampa and attended USF. Their experience in Vietnam led them to reject militarism as a tool of U.S. foreign policy. They are especially critical of the U.S. decision to invade Iraq and of the treatment reservists receive in Iraq. They also say that once veterans return home from combat they frequently receive poor treatment by the federal government.
