Robert McChesney is a communications professor at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He is also co-founder of the media reform group Free Press, and has written many books on media issues over the past 15 years.
McChesneyâ€™s latest book, Communication Revolution, released this month, explains the critical juncture that media scholars, consumers and policy makers face in the midst of a digital media revolution.
WMNFâ€™s Dawn Morgan spoke with Bob McChesney earlier this week. The second half of this interview, covering McChesneyâ€™s founding of the organization Free Press and thoughts on FCC Chairman Martinâ€™s decision to loosen media ownership laws later this year will air on tomorrow's Evening News.
