The Justice Department announced today that Robert O'Neill will become the interim U.S. attorney for the Middle District of Florida until President Bush names a permanent replacement. O'Neill replaces James Klindt, whose term as acting U.S. attorney for the district expired today.
O'Neill has been chief of the criminal division for the Middle District of Florida since May 2002. In addition to working for the Justice Department for the past 19 years, he’s also the co-owner of the Irish bar Four Green Fields in downtown Tampa.
