This morning, Bobby Hicks, the former co-host of WMNF’s Florida Folk Show, passed away after a battle with lung cancer.

Bobby Hicks was a singer, guitarist, and a prolific songwriter in addition to being a vocal advocate for Florida’s environment. This afternoon, WMNF spoke with the host of the Florida Folk Show, Pete Gallagher, about the music, activism, and legacy of Bobby Hicks.

You can tune in to Florida Folk Show every Thursday morning on WMNF. Tomorrow, the Florida Folk Show will broadcast a special tribute to Bobby Hicks beginning at 9 a.m.
